Job Opportunity: Design Management Researcher

Well, well I’m late with this one, but there are still 14 days to go with this job offer I’ve received via my design management network. Some days ago I got in touch with Darragh Murphy from the University of Wales. He’s been so kind to provide some background information about the person they are looking for:

“… we are looking for a good researcher to help fulfill our commitment to the DME project, … This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about design management to research best practices and compile a state of the art of Design Management in Europe. As well as working in the research department of PDR the candidate will also be working with a Europe wide co-operative of partners and have the opportunity to visit some of the best companies in Europe. There will be a lot of travel involved and plenty of publishing opportunities. The role will also be involved in organizing the Design Management Europe Awards to be held in Cardiff in October 2008 …”

I second Darragh when he says that this “…sounds too good …” and I must say if I would be someone who has just finished a research focused MA programme at the intersection of business & design or completed a Masters in Design Management this would be THE opportunity for having interesting times!

So, hurry up and send your application via this website where you will find all the relevant information plus links to application forms and telephone numbers!

In case you should get the job via this pointer please. drop me a note and maybe share your experiences with a guest posting! How about that?
