Design Management is Information Management (among others …)

Design Management also means Information Management! Well, you’re right this might not be too new for you ;-)

However while conducting several workshops over the last couple of months on the use of Web 2.0 tools and Blogs in particular I’ve observed that on one hand many people are highly interested in getting access to the new wealth of information provided by Blogs. On the other hand they very often lack the tools to manage absorbing the most relevant bits according to their interests and needs. After all the magic acronym to solve these problems is: RSS Feeds.

Fortunately today via Martin Koser (BMID Blog) I’ve been pointed to a great video which explains in plain words and funny visual examples what RSS can do for you. Watch and Enjoy!

(P.S.: Just for you records. The RSS of this Blog is: http://www.design-management.de/feed/ or as an alternative you can subscribe via email to receive news postings via email; simply have a look at the upper right hand side section where you can subscribe.)

Yes, had the same observation in my work, even with otherwise smart knowledgeworkers.

It does not help either that RSS goes mainly unnoticed in the business press, while blogs and wikis stand in the spotlight …
