Yes, I admit that I love to browse the logfiles of this blog since I’m always curious about the broad range of nationalities who visit Vol. 2: design-management.de.
Each month I get a steady stream of visitors from Switzerland (ranked among the Top 10). Somehow unnoticed from the mainstream design, management and business education the Swiss have set up some well targeted design management programmes for their local market. The locally focused CODEM programme (Executive Master of Corporate Identity & Design Management) I’ve lectured for in the past is one of these programmes while an International BA in Design Management at the “Lucerne School of Art and Design (HGK Luzern)” is ready to start later this year fully lectured in English (and hopefully with my contribution ;-).
Accordingly an informal network of design management practitioners and academics has established itself over the recent years as well. Under leadership of Claudia Acklin (HGK Luzern) whom I’ve recently met at the DMI Conference in Amsterdam & Ursula Stalder (HSW Luzern) and labeled “Design Management Schweiz” 10 experts from the area of Corporate communication, Corporate Identity, Product Development, Corporate Architecture and Design Management will meet on May, 12th 2006 in order to discuss the status of Design Management in the context of Culture, Strategy Development and Corporate Innovation.
So if you’re in the area or if you’re living in Switzerland I’d like to recommend investing an inspiring afternoon with some smart folks …
