While preparing myself for my last SummerSchool blogging day I thought you might be interested in what I’ve found and read about tomorrow’s “personality in charge”: Ed Annink from the Netherlands.
Ed Annink is a partner in “Ontwerpwerk” (dutch word close to what could be called “Design Factory”), a multidisciplinary design studio in The Hague (Netherlands). The around 30 employees predominantly focus their work on the areas of Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Design and Interaction Design.
The works of Ed Annink, several of which have received design awards, were featured in a 2002 monography. In 1987, he founded the “Products of Imagination” foundation. Ed Annink studied at the Royal Academy for Art and Design, The Hague. He has many years of experience in managing Europe-wide workshops and training events.
During his workshop tomorrow Ed Annink will talk about and discuss his “Bright Minds Beautiful Ideas” project where he acted as the curator.
If you’re interested in some background information about his ideas you might want to read an interview with him conducted by the german magazine “design report” (PDF ~ 170 KB). Fortunately I’ve found an english version of the interview (PDF ~ 100 KB; pure transcript only) as well.
