where if not in the US should a gadget like TV-B-Gone have been developed?
an article on wired.com from Oct., 19th about the small gadget which is capable of switching-off a range of some 1.000 TV models instantly boosted the visitor (and sales!) numbers on Mitch Altman’s (President, CEO Cornfield Electronics, Inc.) website.
Altman who has been nerved by the multitude of TVs in his neighbourhood’s cafes and bars in San Fracisco invented the small gadget which looks more like a remote key for cars, just recently. blame the success story of this ‘toy’ to the highly curious and often idealistic nature of some americans. in any case it’s a perfect application of the idea of disruptive innovation I’ve referenced to several time in this blog.
