after being the main headline on the latest issue of BusinessWeek (see my posting from last week) another leading business magazine from the US, FastCompany, has chosen “design” as their front cover story. interestingly the full title is “Masters of Design”! isn’t this what we actually want to facilitate design management students to become in the future?!
in any case I hope that two things will happen in germany in the future: a) german business magazines should also discover that the design disicipline has much more to offer than just industrial design like e.g. cars or furniture. and b) german companies (and I don’t talk about the big renowned players) should invest much more interest in developing sustainable design strategies by investing in corporate and interdisciplinary team education.
in about two weeks the content of the june 04 (#83) issue of FastCompany will be online and I’ll report more then.
