today the german design council published their latest newsletter for the month of april. as always you’ll get news and updates about lots of useful information regarding national and international design related topics. you can download it here >>>, but please keep in mind that the latest version is always sent out via email to subscribers first.
this time I found a very interesting reference for design management as well as design students. it links to “InformeDesign – Where Research Informs Design“ which is maintained by American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the University of Minnesota.
its aims and goals can be best described as follows:
“Collect, interpret, and disseminate information that will: improve the design of the built environment and its support of human behavior, protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public and protect the earth, and expand the body of knowledge of the profession of interior design.”
however, after browsing their database which you can access through three different categories: “space, issues and occupants” I also found great resources which will certainly be relevant for other design (management) areas as well. search results contain abstracts, resources used and general comments on the source.
after all this site is extremely useful for the design management community and students enrolled in design management programmes. >>>
